For the week of October 7th – 14th
With harvest all finished, now we focus on getting all the field work completed — harrowing, water management, discing up any low spots, and digging out big rocks with our rock hook. The other major task is getting all the equipment cleaned up, oils changed, serviced, and blown off – ready for winter. Some of the newer equipment goes into the dealership to get inspections completed over the winter. The rest gets put in its storage location for the winter – the bigger motorized equipment gets put under cover in a shed.
Time is getting near that some of our seasonal staff head home for the winter – some that live locally still drop in through the winter to visit – the ones that live abroad we hope to see again next season!
This will be the last regular update for the season. I will update periodically through the remainder of the fall and winter – and as we approach our spring season!
